Thursday Mind Musings

* Christmas is only 17 days away!!!!! I'm so excited I can barely stand it! How am I going to get all my shopping and decorating and baking done before Christmas?! Ahhh!!!

* The weather is definitely cooling down here on St John! The days remain a balmy 80 to 85 degrees, but the nights have been bringing cooler air in, which is awesome since like a majority of the island, we don't have AC!

* I've been listening to Christmas music non-stop! My playlist of favorite Christmas and holiday tunes grows by the year:

Life is Good

I haven't blogged in some time! One reason is that my laptop has been broken and I've yet to have it fixed. The other reason is that I haven't had too much to say lately! Life, for the most part, has been good and happy and fulfilling recently. I've had a few bad days sprinkled in here and there, but I'll take that over constant sadness any day! Sky and I have been spending a lot of time together with just the two of us. We've put a lot of energy and work into our relationship and things are good for us! Our little island (and our livers) are recovering from Carnival which just ended. Summertime is hitting St John full force. The crowds of tourists have visibly thinned, the weather is scorching and the whole town just seems lazy and sleepy. I'm looking forward to doing more of what we've been up to recently: lots of beach days, dinner with friends, movie nights, going sailing, and just hanging out and being happy! Life is good these days:)

Lovely Afternoon

Lunch with my friend Jim at Caneel Bay was wonderful! And I was a bit of a bad girl and had a couple of drinks even though I have to work in about an hour... I love Sex on the Beach!!! It's one of my favorites:)

Not Much to Say

For now I am doing an awesome job of not thinking too much. I'm sort of just floating through my days. I don't have much to say about anything really.

I am happy though.

Surprise?!

I know this is going to come as a surprise and even a shock to some people, but I've moved back to St. John, USVI. I was surprised and shocked too! It was a decision and a move that was made and done very quickly. I am sure there are lots of you who will disagree, or even be disappointed by my decision. And all I can say is that I did what I thought would make me happy.

Thank you for your support. And if supportive is not what you feel, then thank you for refraining from saying anything awful! I really do appreciate it:)

Happy February!!!

I am in LOVE with February!!!! Why?!

* We get to celebrate my favorite thing in the whole entire world: LOVE!!!! I don't care what anyone says. I love, Love, LOVE Valentine's Day. I love that it's cheesy and dopey and mushy and Hallmarky. I am all about the flowers and chocolates and slow dancing and candle light and sexy red dresses (I own several...) and perfume and kisses and... well you get it:) I love Valentine's Day.

* We get to celebrate something else that's my favorite thing in the whole entire world: ME!!!!! My birthday is on the 23rd (coincidentally my favorite number lol) and this year I am turning the BIG 2-7!!!! Ahhhh!!! My inner 16 year old is screaming in shock because WOW does it feel old to say that I'm 27 out loud!!! Last year I spent my birthday drunk and topless on a boat trip to the BVIs. I wonder what this year has in store for me?...

* I also love February because it's the shortest month of the year. Random, I know.

* Specifically I love this February because even though things have been a bit rough in the last few weeks, I have VERY high hopes for this month coming up. I just know that things are going to get so much better, and very soon!!

I am so full of happiness and love and hope and joy right now!! This is going to be an awesome 28 days!!! I can feel it!!!!

Friday Favorites

Today has been such an amazing, beautiful day, and it's far from over!!! Some of my favorite moments from today:

* Waking up smiling and happy
* Dancing in front of the mirror while I got ready for work
* Spritzing on my favorite perfume
* Getting Sadie kisses and giggles
* Having a picnic at the park with the girls
* Swinging on the swings until my legs were sore
* Singing and laughing in the car with the sun shining and the wind blowing
* Eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
* Talking to one of my favorite people on the phone:)
* Laughing at nothing at all!!

I am having such a wonderful, lovely day!! And I just know that this day has many more beautiful moments for me:)

Hello Lover

My old love, a size 6, is back in my life!!!! I haven't been a size 6 since I was 22!!!! Yay!!!! How excited am I?! Not that I'm bragging (but really I am!) when you can pull your jeans on and off without unbuttoning them, it's time for a new wardrobe and a bit of celebration!!! I feel skinny!!! My oh my has it been a good day:)

Joy

Slowly but surely my joy is coming back. I have been so happy these past few days. I want very much to keep feeling like this, because it feels so much like who I used to be, just a bit older and wiser.

Happy Friday

I'm feeling so good today!! I had warm, fuzzy, sweet dreams last night. I think that's why I woke up smiling and singing. I'm working today, going out tonight, working tomorrow, then shopping and a pedicure are on my agenda for Sunday! I'm looking forward to the next few days. It feels so wonderful to smile and laugh and be happy about nothing in particular!! Let's hope this feeling lasts:)

Delight of the Day

How did I forget the absolutely loveliness and joy of musicals?!?! It's like I've discovered them all over again!! I'm currently watching Mamma Mia while continuing to be One with the couch. It makes me smile, even if only for 90 minutes:)

Sometimes we like to share happy tidbits!! And to even out the Universe I should have (at least!) one good thought for every bad, right? For my first Delight of the Day entry:

Sky is one of the best cooks I've ever met, and hands down one of the best I've ever lived with!! I love when he cooks dinner for us, which is pretty often. He can make even the simplest foods so yummy. He's cooking tonight and I'm so thankful I'm not the one standing in the hot kitchen whipping something up! So my delight of the day is my sweet fiancé cooking dinner for me:)
