Last night I had a dream about the Zombie Apocalypse. I don't remember a lot of details except that Sky and I were in an office or school building. We were trying to get away on a blue scooter because zombies were chasing after us. We started to get away but a crowd of zombies rushed us and knocked us off the scooter. I watched them kill Sky and then they attacked me. They ripped my head open to eat my brains. As Sky and I were lying on the ground dying, we held hands. Then I woke up.
It was such a scary, weird dream! I haven't watched anything about zombies in a while. But occasionally Sky and I do have the What Would We Do in the Event of (Zombies, earthquakes, tsunamis, the Apocalypse, or some other tragic occurrence) conversations. Which is totally normal, right?
Anyway, here's a funny article about the possibility of zombies. It's old, but amusing! 5 Scientific Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen

Happy Friday
I'm feeling so good today!! I had warm, fuzzy, sweet dreams last night. I think that's why I woke up smiling and singing. I'm working today, going out tonight, working tomorrow, then shopping and a pedicure are on my agenda for Sunday! I'm looking forward to the next few days. It feels so wonderful to smile and laugh and be happy about nothing in particular!! Let's hope this feeling lasts:)
Happy Friday all!!

Dream a Little Dream
I think dreams are SO interesting!! I used to own a massive dream interpretation book as a teenager, but I lost it. So I've taken to using the free websites I find through Google if I want to know the meaning of dream. I think sometimes dreams can obviously be telling you something and other times it's just a bunch of nonsense from your everyday life thrown together. There have been a few interesting dreams I've had lately:
- In a dream recently I was married to one of my best friends, Jaime. I remember thinking "I love him, but we're friends! We can't get married!". In that same dream I was being serenaded by Gwyneth Paltrow in an empty classroom (Glee, anyone?!).
- Shortly after my breakup with PD (we do NOT speak his name any longer and this is a new nickname for him) I had a dream that one of my friends and I were locked in a dark mall after hours. No matter what door that I tried they were all locked. But soon she asked if I would follow her "this way" as she motioned to what looked like a solid wall, which turned into a door when she pushed on it. I absolutely know what this dream was about but it would take forever to explain!!
- Recently I had a dream about going Christmas shopping while naked. Which is silly because a) I didn't do any Christmas shopping this year, and b) most of my naked dreams have me prancing around work or school, not the mall. Weird!!
- A couple of months ago I had a dream I was falling. I could feel the wind rushing past my face but everything was completely silent. That was the whole dream. I think I've read that falling dreams mean you feel out of control. Which I can totally agree with at the time!
I've been thinking about keeping a dream journal because I love remembering the details of them as soon as I wake up! But I think between my regular journal, this blog and my planner it may be a bit much and hard to keep up with! I guess we'll see if I ever get around to it...

These Dreams
I have always had vivid, colorful, crazy dreams. And luckily I usually wake up remembering them in detail. It's usually a gift, but it has definitely been a curse at times. One of last night's dreams was pretty disturbing.
In my dream I was a pharmacist but I worked in a shady part of town (no doubt due to my real life wandering around the city at 1am last night looking for an open store so I could buy cough medicine). And it seemed that I always worked at night. And outside of the store I worked for (CVS!) there was always a hooker and a pimp/drug dealer hanging out. I would walk by them and say hello every night. Sometimes they would ignore me and other times the hooker would follow me, yelling and cursing. Well one night I guess I decided to yell back at her. Bad idea Dream Kourtnie!! The hooker threw a liquid on me (gasoline?) and a match which INSTANTLY made me burst into flames (no doubt from my real life watching of a stupid criminals show last night where one guy set himself on fire). Somehow I dialed 911, which seems pretty talented to do while you are burning to a crisp, and in minutes the ambulance and fire department and police were there. The hooker was arrested and so was her pimp/drug dealer. As they took them away in handcuffs I stood there laughing and pointing my finger at them.
But THAT'S not the craziest part of the dream. No, the crazy, insane, maniacal part was that six months later (I know it was six months because a blank screen came on in my dream that said 6 months later...) I was planning a wedding to the hooker. That's right, I was marrying this woman who yelled at me, cursed at me, insulted me and set me on fire. What The Hell?! And all the while, as I was planning in my dream, Real Life Kourtnie was trying to scream at Dream Kourtnie to stop being so stupid and cancel the whole damn thing.
And all I have to say is wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Dreams can be powerful and amazing. Dreams can be silly and inconsequential. Sometimes they mean everything, sometimes they mean nothing at all.
